Blinn at Brenham...Honors Society

Tonight I was asked by one of Johns friends to attend and speak at an Honors society meeting. I was part of a panel addressing competition!
We were asked to talk about ourselves in that vein.
Interesting evening with 2 professors, a VP of HP, retired CEO of Germainia Insurance and a room full of college honor students!! Glad it's over- soooo nervous!!

2012 IT'S BEEN A LONG TIME BETWEEN BLOGS...

Lots have happened in my life...and yet...it doesn't seem like that long ago since Mom pased away! We have 8 grandchildren now. Mom never got to see her great granddaughter from Missy-Miss Tess! So sad. Tess is so precious...named after my grandmother - Tess's great great grandmother.

Mom passed away

Mom passed away Nov 14 at 2 am. She is in the arms of Jesus and is dancing and bowling in heaven...on two legs that are whole and healthy! Praise God for her life. I miss you, Mom.

I see what I went through with my daddy 20 years ago happening all over again... I do not want to pray for healing when God may want her to go home. I am releasing my grip finally.

Update on my mom... She is in North Cypress Medical Center Hospital on 290 @ Huffmeister...rm 3305. (Mary Thompson).

I finally saw two doctors last night -GP and Heart. They are going to make her comfortable and treat her with Lasiks (for fluid retinsion around her heart and lungs as well as all over), antibiotics (for infections in lungs if she does have pnumonia), her reg meds, pain meds for all pain (vicodan right now).

The split in her right calf is really hurting now.... that happened when the paramedics thumb went through her skin that was so stretched with fluid.. It's about 8" long.

Just now the nurse had to move her IV to the right arm ...which always hurts to do.

Pray Gods will for her.

I am at the hospital.. The nurse had to call in a specialist to put in vein IV needle on right side-the left side quit working. She has a pain patch on her right ankle but she says it's not working. She had her Vicodin pain pill at 6 am so she can't have another til 2 pm!! She is back to the way she was in the ER... Slumping to the right with her eyes tightly shut saying she's in pain! Swelling is better than last night but not much.
